Dr. Don Lifto brings 25 years of superintendent experience to the Springsted team, having served in rural, suburban and intermediate school districts. Dr. Lifto is considered an expert in merging research and best practice in planning and conducting school finance elections. His dissertation focuses on strategic factors, non-strategic factors and critical events affecting the outcome of school bond elections. He is coauthor of School Finance Elections, a Comprehensive Planning Model for Success, 2nd Edition, and is published extensively in national journals. He is an adjunct professor in the College of Education and Human Development Graduate School, University of Minnesota. He is also a member of the American Association of Public School Opinion Research and is a frequent presenter at national conferences sponsored by the American Association of School Administrators, the National School Boards Association and the Association of School Business Officials International.
